Ben, I enjoyed reading this piece. I think you made a point, and with clarity, that trading options is a fool's game.

If that refers to the buy side of calls and puts - I completely agree with you. 100%. When we engage on the buy side, we are engaging in a directional bias. So yes, there is simply no way we can contest with the Wall Streeters who can do this all day.

The sell side of options however, should warrant a different perspective of thinking. They convey intent that if comes true, allow us to sell or get our desired holdings at the price we want. It is a good thing.

Of course, of course. I am with you. Unless we are pros, never ever gamble with our money, options or stocks or ETFs or leveraged bonds. Don't.

If we truly want to, let's commit time to get better at it. That is it.
