U-Ming, I learned the same thing from a friend of mine. She is 60. She told me that she no longer thinks about long-term because she has lived through the journey of a conventional long term. Today, she focuses on the short-term. And I thought, wow! That is a such an eye-opener! And it goes to show that we can never second guess retirement until we are there.
