Earth’s shadow began covering the moon. I wanted to witness the phenomenon as much as I desired to capture it in pictures. Alternating five shots, followed by a few moments of moon gazing, was a happy compromise that continued until sunrise. For the first time, I noticed how fast the earth spins.
